pizza dough recipe

THE FRESH PIZZA DOUGH RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

2 1/2 cups warm water
1 tablespoon Active dry yeast
1 teaspoon honey
4 cups unbleached flour
1/2 teaspoon salt

PREPARATION:

Sprinkle the yeast over the water. Let stand 1 minute, or until
the yeast is creamy. Stir until the yeast dissolves

In a large bowl, combine the 4 cups flour and the salt. Add

the yeast mixture and stir until a soft dough forms. Turn
the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead,
until the dough is well combined and smooth; add small
amounts of additional flour if the dough is stick.


Lightly coat a large bowl with oil. Place the dough in the bowl, turning
it to oil the top. Cover with plastic wrap. Place in a warm, draft-free
place and let rise until doubled in bulk, about 45 min

Punch the dough down and roll to fit into a 16-inch pizza pan
When you've topped it with your favorite stuff, cook it in a preheated
450 degree oven for 15-20 minutes
