Potato pizza recipe

POTATO PIZZA RECIPE

You can top this unusual pizza with any of your favorite pizza toppings

Ingredients:

  • 3 large potatoes.
  • 1 tube (10 oz.)refrigerated pizza crust
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pound sliced bacon, diced
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. chopped red pepper
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • Sour cream, optional
Preparation:

peel and boil the potatoes. until very tender, unroll crust and put on 14" ungreased pizza pan. Flatten dough and build up edges slightly. Prick dough several times with a fork.Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire rack. Drain and mash potatoes with milk and salt.Spread over crust. In a skillet, partially cook the bacon.

Add pepper and onion; cook until bacon is done and vegs are tender. Drain well;sprinkle over potatoes. Top with cheeses. Bake in a hot over (375°F) until golden brown (15-20 minutes) or until potatoes are brown and cheese is well melted.

Serve with sour cream if desired
